Backyard Cocinero Episode 3
This isn’t your average Paloma, and this certainly isn’t your average fajita. Watch as Mando Rayo and community activist Celso Baez III chat about the unique role food plays in Hispanic communities in Texas and beyond.
For the past decade, food trucks have been on the rise. With an entrepreneurial spirit and flair for culinary creativity, food truck owners have changed the way we look at eating out, especially when it comes to Mexican food.
To celebrate these trailblazers, we’ve teamed up with VICE and MUNCHIES to tell the stories of taqueros owning the food truck scene. Their new show, Off the Truck, dives into the lives of four talented taqueros: a vegan Tex-Mex pioneer redefining the cuisine, the reigning queen of Austin’s taco empire and an up-and-coming best friend duo bringing back the “cowboy wok” style of cooking.
Get a taste of their stories now and check back in August to see the full episodes. To help you raise a glass to these amazing taqueros, we’re also giving away cantaritos featured on the show. You can enter daily for the chance to win until September 27.
