Early 1700s The Camarena family immigrates to Mexico from Spain
1761 The Camarenas co-found the town of Arandas in the Jalisco Highlands
1860 The Camarenas plant their own agave fields in the Jalisco highlands (Arandas)
1938 Don Agustin Camarena founds the tequila distillery Casa Casco Viejo
1970 Elena Camarena, granddaughter of Don Agustin, assumes control and ownership of Casa Casco Viejo and the mother company, Tequila Supremo
1982 Casco Viejo, now Mexico's third most popular tequila, launches
2008 Tequilla Supremo and E.& J. Gallo Winery enter into a Tequila production and distribution agreement
2010 Launch of Familia Camarena Tequila, 100% Puro de Agave Azul, in the United States.
