Familia Camarena Tequila is a testament to artistry and perseverance.
We distill our Tequila in small alembic pots. Not once, but twice. The first distillation brings out the unique aromas and flavors. The second distillation gives our Tequila its refined character. During this process, the undesirable flavors of the cabezas (heads) are removed. Next, the corazon (heart) is condensed to form the body of the Tequila. Finally, the heavier flavors of the colas (tails) evaporate, leaving only the best flavors behind for the final blend.
The precise process of making double distilled Tequila requires a skilled hand at every step, guiding the delicate relationship between flavor components, alcohol levels, temperature and the passage of time.
